Description
Known for its famous mice, ducks, and angels, Anaheim is also home to one of the longest-running civic Halloween celebrations in the U.S., and this year, it's celebrating its 100th anniversary!
The Anaheim Fall Festival (established in 1923) marks its centennial milestone in downtown Anaheim on Saturday, October 28, 2023, while its associated Anaheim Halloween Parade (started in 1924) celebrates its 100th anniversary in October 2024.
The festival occurs on Center Street Promenade from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., followed by the parade kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
The parade steps off at Broadway and Anaheim Blvd.
The Anaheim Fall Festival features a towering Halloween tree, game booths, strolling entertainment, food, and informational booths.
The Anaheim Halloween Parade transforms the heart of Orange County’s most populous and geographically largest city back into its small-town atmosphere with a nighttime pageant of floats, marching bands, ghosts, goblins, jack-o’-lanterns, and witches stretching a mile and a half through Anaheim's downtown.
With designs influenced by the 1950s and 1960s mid-twentieth-century heyday of classic Halloween, the parade features fanciful floats, zany Halloween characters, local bands, car clubs, a celebration of Dia de los Muertos, and many other entertaining elements.
